starting day two on 2 for 42, the Cobra’s ground their way to a first innings win.. scoring was very slow, with only 190 runs scored on the day..

“Handles” Stein was the stand out bowler of the day with a great 5 wicket haul.. it must be said, on such a great batting wicket all of the Kookaburras bowlers stood proud and bowled to a plan, outside off… special mention must go to “Big Wil” Davis, “Fingers” Sutcliffe, & “Groins” Clarke..

apart from the great bowling, the stand out for the cobras was Derek “Tatie” Tate.. He showed why he is one of the premier batsman in the Gabba Sporting Products Cup, with a great display of controlled batting.. “Tatie” showed the grit required to bat Cobras into a winning position, by playing the “V” and keeping the ball along the ground…. he showed patience, and determination.. well played…

the Cobra’s were too good on the day, but one would think they need to do bit more than that to win a premiership…
