the-dark-apple

this weeks lesson was tone drawings.. firstly we had to practice the art of shading from dark to light..

to do that we attempted to gray scale with 11 steps..

secondly we had a black and white photo of an apple with a dark background.. the light shone on the top left of the apple, while the bottom right blended in to the background.. i it quite hard to get that gradual shading from black to very light gray, and white in some of the droplets of water on the apple..

yes yes i know what your saying, there are no water droplets.. i need to practice more..
