drawing classes are coming to an end at the end of next month..

slowly our skills are being honed towards drawing the human figure.. its been a hand, or a foot.. then hair, then the face..

last week it was a plaster cast of the upper body.

this is a new species (not) of praying-mantis only found in Garden Du Halyard.. having lost its sense of touch and smell, it developed rather large ears…

Mantises are masters of camouflage and most species make use of protective coloration to blend in with the foliage or substrate, both to avoid predators themselves, and to better snare their victims.

do you ever have the feeling the tides gone out?

i feel like the tides been out for the last few months, but thank godness for the moon..

we did about 10 sketches of the foot, and the only angle i had any clue about was this one.. from underneath.. the sole..

this was our first week back at drawing class after a 3 week break..

part of the art class is life drawing.. when Jane (the teacher) said this week we will be doing Bear Models, i thought this was the week for nudes.. but i guess i heard wrong..

our first drawing on the night was of a rock, sea sponge, and a coconut.. this was the second… two bears.. i big white one, and small brown one..
