Once again the 2007 Paintball Australia South Pacific Championships hit town.

I spent an action packed morning at the Samford Skirmish Paintball fields watching the top men and ladies competing to be Australia’s top 7 man Paintball team.

It was a great morning, with loads of action, fun had by all, and a few welts & bruises also made an appearance… ooooooouch

Earlier this week Logan Village Cricket Club launched their new web site www.loganvillagecc.org.au with much ado, and fanfare..

looking to have a well improved season in 2007/08, they have been able to put together a very strong team, and are backed by some great support from some great new sponsors.. I urge you to have a look at the new site, and put your support (and money) behind the Logan Village (kookaburras) Cricket Club.

so far we have had support from the following companies 3M, the Adam Scott Foundation, Blackwoods, Broncos FC, The Queensland Bulls, Chep, Discount Drug Stores (Beenleigh & Waterford), Gainsborough Greens golf club, Gold Coast International Hotel, Hair Free, JD Sports Agency, Jim Beam Racing, Pacific Corridor Real Estate, Melbourne Daemons FC, Carlton Midstrength, Trailerworld, and Wanless Waste..

Gainsborough Greens Golf Dday

This years fund raising golf day will again be held amongst the flora and fauna reserve that is Gainsborough Greens Golf Club.

It was a great event last year, lets make the 2007 day one to remember.

$500 per team will get your team (4) an all you can eat lunch, 16 beers/soft drinks and BBQ Buffet dinner. As well as this you will have company signage displayed on course (for the day), along with signage at Newstead Park for the 2007/08 season.

There are plenty of prizes to be won, and a fantastic after game auction of some of the best sporting memorabilia money will buy..

It is being held on Friday, 20th July 2007, starting 10:30am…. For more information please contact Gary Musch on 0412 735 664 or Michael Pimm on 0416 099 940…

Port Charles Cricket

Seen here at the home of NZ cricket, Port Charles Cricket Academy, Neal ‘Sticks’ Monzari & Jnr ‘Wickets’ Manderson were over the moon at their late inclusion in the NZ world cup side.

Neal, fresh from a night on the turps at the Port Charles local, said “It was only a mater of time before the selectors noticed me, shit, I’ve scored the runs, What took em so long…”. Jnr too, also on fire, having taken 3 wickets in the local beach cricket comp.

New Zealand is in great hands, and with a white wash of the Aussies in the recent Chappell Hadlee Trophy, we expect big things in the coming weeks… Go the Aussies..
